When I was creating my retirement "to do" list, learning to paint with watercolors was near the top. Still, it took me five years to get up the courage to start taking classes at the Honolulu Museum of Art in 2015. I've been enjoying the adventure of trying many styles and discovering my inner artist.
I started with watercolors, still my first love, then began experimenting with acrylics. Along the way, I discovered acrylic pouring and the artist/science nerd in me loves the combination of art and chemistry to create original paintings.
I love photography and using my nature photos to inspire my painting.
